Singers! Beatboxers! Jazz and Collegiate A Cappella fans! Now's your chance to join Onoscatopoeia 2008-09. Signups are now open at the Porter's Desk (a.k.a. "Hub") in Hart House for audition time slots. The available times are on the evenings of Sunday, Sept. 14th; Monday, Sept. 15th; and Wednesday, Sept. 17th. Previous members of the group are encouraged to sign up for Sunday night if possible to leave more spots available after the open rehearsal.

Please come prepared to sing a short solo piece without any accompaniment (we're an a cappella choir afterall!). When you sign up at the Porter's Desk, you should be given an audition info pack containing an additional piece of music to learn. And during the audition you will likely be asked do some exercises such as sight reading a short section of music and/or ear tests.

Open Rehearsal
Monday, Sept. 15th from 5-6:00pm Onoscatopoeia's conductor Markus Howard will be holding an "open rehearsal" at Hart House (check the Porter's Desk for location - probably in the Debates Room upstairs). Everybody who's signed up for an audition is encouraged to attend to get a sense of what it's like to rehearse with the choir. It's a great way to get familiar with how we do things, and maybe help shake a few audition nerves as you get to know one of the faces behind the audition table.
